The valley of your roof is a prime place for roofing leaks to occur in a shingled roof. The valleys are designed to collect runoff water and guide it toward your gutters. Like any part of your roof, over years it can deteriorate from any number of elemental factors. Here's what it is and why it's important to the health of your home.

The valley of your roof is a design feature not only for connecting different angles and pieces of your home's structure, but also to guide rainwater and precipitation toward the gutter and eventually to your home's drain. What can cause leaks in this area is years of weathering storms which can cause gaps in you shingles. Also water can become trapped under shingles that have been laid on top of one another to cover all the gaps. The best way to mend your leaky roof is to replace the affected shingles or to update your roof's Flashing.

Flashing is the piece that connects two pieces of your roof together.  While you can try to fix this piece of your roof yourself, it involves a lot of work in a precarious place: on top of your roof.  C.H.I. Roofing can be the one's to fix this part of your roof. If your previous contractor didn't do the right work to ensure your roofing is built to last call 513-731-ROOF for a free repair estimate!
